The new building is integrated into the park as a pavilion-like structure and is based on the existing school building in terms of height and type. At the same time, the interior of the new building will have a room layout that corresponds to modern forms of learning and teaching and allows for an arrangement in clusters. 

The new building restructures the southern part of the school complex, clearly arranges the rooms and remains open and permeable. The outdoor space, the existing building and the new building form a coherent school complex that can still be read and experienced as a garden school.

Designed as a wood-clay hybrid construction, the new building allows a high degree of prefabrication and uses clay as thermal mass for summer heat insulation and a pleasant indoor climate.
