The city of Zurich is planning an extension to the Entlisberg school site with nine classrooms, two kindergartens and catering areas. Rooms for the Zurich Conservatory music school and a single sports hall are also planned. The existing school building from 1947 is a listed building and part of the inventory of protected gardens and grounds.
The new building will be integrated into the park as a pavilion-like structure and will be modelled on the existing school building in terms of height and type. At the same time, the interior of the new building will have a room layout that corresponds to modern forms of learning and teaching and allows for an arrangement in clusters. A wide, covered break room on the ground floor connects the northern entrance with the southern school garden.
